How do you properly measure a pool table?

I am going to sell my pool table but I have no idea how to measure it to give the size. Outside the rails? Middle of the pockets? Inside the bumpers? HELP!

      use mearsuring tape

      I would think you would measure it like you would a tv.

      i believe that it is from inside bumper to inside bumper.

      There are 4 common sizes. 3.5 x 7 (barbox), 4 X 8 (normal home table), 4.25 X 8.5, and 4.5 X 9 (tournament tables) and I believe that’s the measurment of the inside rails.
