Can you convert a wooden pool table to slate?

July 14, 2008 By: admin Category: pool tables 3 Comments →

Cruiser asked:

I have a pretty cheap pool table but it’s in good condition. Only thing is, it’s not slate. I was wondering if there was a way to replace the wooden bed for a piece of slate? Is that the only difference or is there more to it.

Why does my pool table cloth lift when I grip it with my hand?

July 06, 2008 By: admin Category: pool tables 8 Comments →

Thomas asked:

The cloth has been doing this ever since I got this table. I’ve played on many different pool/snooker tables and I have never seen this happening. Why is this happening?

How much does it cost to have new cloth put on a pool table?

July 04, 2008 By: admin Category: pool tables 3 Comments →

Mr Chris asked:

I’m looking for a used pool table and it seems like I can save a lot of money if a pool table needs cloth. How much does it cost to have that done or how difficult is it to do (correctly) yourself?

How does one use the inlay dots around a pool table?

July 01, 2008 By: admin Category: pool tables 4 Comments →

DrShio asked:

Around every pool table I’ve played on there are marble dots inlaid into the wood. Do these serve more than a cosmetic purpose? Is there any way to use these to line up a shot or an angle?
