When refelting a pool table is there a top/bottom side of the felt?

We are refelting our pool table and are unsure if their is a right way up to lay the felt. My partner thinks one side is fluffier and one is shinier, I can’t tell. Table didn’t come printed or with any tags or stickers indicating a correct way up.
