Cruiser asked: I have a pretty cheap pool table but it’s in good condition. Only thing is, it’s not slate. I was wondering if there was a way to replace the wooden bed for a piece of slate? Is that the only difference or is there more to it.

Thomas asked: The cloth has been doing this ever since I got this table. I’ve played on many different pool/snooker tables and I have never seen this happening. Why is this happening?

Mr Chris asked: I’m looking for a used pool table and it seems like I can save a lot of money if a pool table needs cloth. How much does it cost to have that done or how difficult is it to do (correctly) yourself?

DrShio asked: Around every pool table I’ve played on there are marble dots inlaid into the wood. Do these serve more than a cosmetic purpose? Is there any way to use these to line up a shot or an angle?

sugarplum asked: I accidently spilt a glass of red wine on the felt of my pool table. Is there any way to get out the stain without replacing the felt? Someone told me oxiclean but i don’t want to ruin the whole table if they are wrong. Does anyone know what I should use?

Doug L asked: I have a pool table in my basement that I haven’t used in a while. Overtime, mold started to grow on it mostly because of the hot summers. Now I want to bring it to my second house Upstate because there’s plenty of room for it. First I want to get rid of all the mold. Any specific ways to clean it so the mold won’t grow back?

mahjongdong asked: The table cloth is green. Should we carpet the whole room? or just a carpet for the pool table? or should we carpet the whole room with the pooltable’s own rug?
We live in a warm area..but that room will have aircondition..so i’ll turn it on when we’re in there. It’s a big big room. Not sure of the size..but Big enough for 2 tables with enough space around the sides. It has 2 big windows and 4 lights within the ceiling..so with lights on or off..its bright.

krankit8 asked: My dad told me that lights above a snooker or pool table have a certain way they should be set. According to him, when the lights are set properly, you should be able to aim your shot by using the reflection of the light on the ball. He said that my grandfather, who used to run a pool and snooker hall, knew how to set them correctly before his memory started to fade.
