I know this is sacrilege to a pool player, but I’ve been offered the three slabs of slate from an old pool table for FREE, and the person suggested I could use them as pavers for a patio. (I know there are pocket holes, etc. and I’m figuring out ways to cover them) My question is, will the slate hold up outdoors, or is it the porous kind that will crumble when exposed to rain?

maybe this is a stupid question but when you are playing a game of pool and you accidentally hit the white ball in the pocket how does the game know it’s not solids or stripes?It always spilts the white ball back out.Thanks in advance!!
